Funding opportunities

IVR Conference Grant

IVR members can apply for funding to attend international conferences or seminars. It is a condition that the applicant has a confirmed poster or oral presentation at the event and is not part of an industry project (where we expect the company to fund conference participation).

Send your application to The Preclinical In Vivo Research Graduate Programme with a description of the activity (purpose, venue, dates, what you will present at the event) and budget. We can support travel expenses and accommodation within governmental limits as well as conference registration.

IVR will fund up to DKK 10,000 per conference and you can only receive funding once during your PhD studies.

Change in Research Environment

The Graduate School provides support for your change of research environment. If your change of research environment lasts for at least four weeks in total and is completed at a research institution abroad or in Denmark outside of the Capital Region of Denmark or Region Zealand, you can apply for financial support from the Graduate School to cover travel and study related expenses. You can apply for financial support before, during or after the stay.

You apply for travel expenses related to your change of research environment including visa, rent, local transport, health and travel insurance. Travel expenses related to journeys for personal purposes, food, groceries, personal insurance, admittance fees, and participation in congresses and courses are not covered.

The maximum grant is up to DKK 20,000 for the first month and up to DKK 5,000 for each of the following five months. The maximum grant you can receive during your PhD programme is DKK 45,000 (equivalent to a six month stay). Read more here
